Breast Cancer Awareness Day & fund-raising for Maggie's Nottm.
This was a great success thanks to the support of our members and the staff of the hospital. Sincere thanks will be extended to all those who supported the event by their attendance and the donation of cakes and books. Over £600 will be presented to the Maggie Centre Appeal at a later date. Owing to the great number of books donated for the event it was decided that those which remained should be taken to various Charity Shops and Hospices.
As it was Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Angela and another member of the Nursing team dressed up as a Pink Fairy and a Pink Pig respectively, as a result £500 was raised.
Cream Teas - 23rd June 2008
Our fund-raising day on 23rd June at the Ollerton Water Mill and Tea Rooms was a very successful event. In fact by selling Cream Teas, tickects for our fabulous gift duck and the auction £3500 was raised. This money is being donated to the Maggie's Centre in Nottingham.
Tattoo Trail - July 2006
In Spite of a torrential rain/thunderstorm 1 hour before the event,
we had a great time splashing through the burntstump park - some in wellies and some in fancy dress! Afterwards we had lots of fun and a gift tree raffle with fantastic 
prizes raising even more money. In total we raised almost £8000. How fantastic is that! So we achieved our goal and bought the Nipple Tattooing machines. This is a photo of us handing over the machines to the City Hospital and the Park Hospital.
